| Georgia Brown, CMP Vice President, Conferences & Events Georgia Brown, a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), is the Vice President of Conferences and Events at Benchmarc360°. Georgia founded, and was CEO and President of, Meetings Etc. Unlimited, Inc., for 8 years before merging with Benchmarc360° in 2001. She handled creative concepts, logistics and complete implementation for multi million dollar projects, for clients that included multinationals, non-profits and political groups. She also established a training division to offer corporate clients leadership and team development, project facilitation and group project coaching. For 17 years prior to starting her own company, Georgia worked for IBM in New York and Atlanta, rising quickly to the position of Events Program Manager. As an Events Program Manager, Georgia planned and coordinated multiple high level events including a series of 3-day business conferences, each attended by 1,000 to 1,500 CEOs. Her experience also includes sales and marketing, technical support management, and developing marketing collateral and publications. Throughout her career, Georgia has received many honors recognizing her expertise and professionalism within the meetings industry. Most recently, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) named her Meeting Planner of the Year in 2000. In her leisure time, Georgia served as vice president of Marketing Promotion and Media for the Jubilee Cultural Alliance from 1990-1995. She also served as a member of the Cobb County Parks & Recreation Commission from 1978-1985, during which she chaired for two years. Georgia enjoys walking, gardening, reading, restaurant reviewing, plays and art exhibits, travel, and is very active in her church. |
